Reinforcing a canvas tote?
I bought a small eco-friendly canvas tote, and I'm wanting to use it as a purse. The material is very fragile, though, and I don't think it can even hold a small wallet without ripping or tearing. Is there anything I can use to reinforce the inside and bottom of the bag?
I'm not really sure it's canvas. I don't know what to call it. It's the same thin material that the Wal-Mart reusable grocery tote bags are made from.
If it is really made of canvas then it will last. If it's not really canvas then i recommend sewing in a liner something like a knit cotton jersey would be ideal because that will not tear.
